Audience

Now that i have changed the genre of movie my audience hasn't changed that much because my original was a romantic dance movie. I have decided that the age group that I want my movie to be for is 17 year olds and above. I decided to make a movie that most females will be able to relate to in some way meaning that i had a wider choice of age for the movie. As it is a romantic teaser trailer instantly I knew that my target audience will be mostly females, although it doesn't mean males cannot watch the movie.

In the modern society woman use romantic movies to escape from the cruel realities of life, thats why i have decided to make a romantic teaser trailer. Up until recent times woman used to watch romantic movies, and they were hopeful due to the stereotypical happy ending. Until recently more woman don't agree with the stereotpical "happy ending" as they see it as deluding themselves.

This is similiar to what was said in the 19th century, during the victorian period it was known as the period of the new woman. Novelists where told not to write about romance as it was deluding woman,as in that period marriages were normally formed because of money not love.

So thats why i have decided to make a romantic movie, but without that conventional happy story. I want to challenge the normal codes and conventions of a stereotypical romantic movie.
